Outcomes That Matter:
A Summer Learning Series on Graduate Success
Clarity. Coherence. Commitment. Graduate success doesn’t happen by chance—it’s the result of a deliberate infrastructure that supports outcomes at every level of your system.
Just because graduation season is over doesn’t mean the work is done. In fact, summer is the perfect time to reflect, reset, and reimagine what student success truly looks like.
Join Homeroom for a four-part virtual series designed to help school and district leaders build the outcomes-oriented infrastructure necessary to make their Portrait of a Graduate more than a promise—a systemwide practice.
Too often, graduate outcomes are discussed in May and forgotten by September. But summer gives us breathing room. It’s when the buzz quiets, the urgency shifts, and district teams have the space to think strategically. This series is your opportunity to ask:
Does our PoG clearly reflect what we want for our students?
Are those outcomes embedded in the daily experience of teaching and learning?
Do our systems and people have the support to bring that vision to life?
Each session will offer practical tools, real examples, and an invitation to take your next step—with Homeroom as your guide.

Portrait or Pixel? Seeing the Whole Graduate
A clear vision of student success is essential—but too often, district Portraits of a Graduate are vague, buzzword-heavy, or disconnected from everyday decisions. In this session, we’ll explore what makes a PoG clear and actionable through the lens of an outcomes-oriented infrastructure. Participants will walk away with Homeroom’s PoG Quality Rubric to assess the clarity of their own graduate outcomes and identify opportunities to deepen shared understanding across their community.

The Alignment Trap: Why Graduate Outcomes Don’t Show Up in Classrooms
It’s not enough to define graduate outcomes—they must be translated into daily instruction, school culture, and assessment. This session unpacks common missteps in alignment and offers strategies to embed your PoG into the core of teaching and learning. We’ll share classroom “look-fors” aligned to graduate competencies and examine what it takes to build a coherent instructional infrastructure that brings your vision to life.

Talking the Talk: Building Buy-In Without Burnout
Your graduate outcomes will only take root if people see themselves in the vision. In this session, we’ll focus on building commitment across your school system—without overwhelming your teams. Learn how to craft a messaging plan that engages students, staff, and families, and walk away with a communication template that helps you foster long-term ownership and excitement around your Portrait of a Graduate.

From Poster to Practice: Sustaining Your PoG Over Time
Sustaining meaningful change requires more than a strong start—it calls for an infrastructure that evolves with your district. In our final session, we’ll explore how to institutionalize your Portrait of a Graduate through policy, talent, and strategic planning. You’ll receive a PoG Implementation Readiness Roadmap with clear milestones and system-level levers to ensure your graduate outcomes continue to shape decisions for years to come.
